GOP Resurgence
With pundits from all over the media busy writing the GOP obituary, CNN today posted poll data: GOP image goes from bad to worse.
It’s really far to early to start writing off the GOP. It’s fair to assume that 2008 was not going to be a GOP year in view of the generally unfavorable ratings for the Bush presidency. The months ahead provide the party with an opportunity for correction. Given the many promises and huge expectations for an Obama presidency, the public will soon begin looking to the GOP for answers.
With a new RNC Chairman being named in January, the GOP will have many opportunities to make their case to the public. It is critical the the person selected for the RNC Chair be able to connect with voters at the grassroots level and involve them in the political process. While many names have been floated for the RNC chair, only one has drafted a plan to achieve the goals necessary to meet the objectives of the next years: Chip Saltsman. Chip’s Action Plan is available online in the form of an open letter to the Members of the RNC. You can read Our Plan for Republican Victory here.
This plan shows that Chip has thought out what needs to be done for the resurgence of the Grand Old Party and that he is the person to implement it.
