I really am a bad blogger!
Ok, so I have excuses. Being chief correspondent for two sites is enough to make anyone slightly lax on a personal blog. If I didn’t have help from David, the Common Ground site would be in as much need of attention as Xisti currently is. I do promise to do better, honest! The good news is that I got all my domains transferred away from Network Solutions. They were just too greedy. What is the sense of spending $35 a year for domain renewal when you can get it anywhere else for around $10 … that adds up with multiple domains!
So now I have to get to work on the sites. David has the new format for CG almost ready and then I can look at pages. I think we want to simplify a little, but we will have to talk it through. I am still in a quandry about Xisti, but will start with a few new articles and then see about changing the forum. Maybe there is no need for a forum? We’ll see.
Maybe I have no need for a personal blog? We’ll see. *grin*
Oh, and I am reading some really good books … “Encountering the New Testament” is a survey. And I got “Jesus & the Rise of Early Christianity: A History of New Testament Times” by Paul Barnett. It also looks very interesting, but I am not starting it until I finish a few of the projects in the works. I’m reading “Luke: Historian and Theologian” by I. Howard Marshall. I am finding it interesting, if a little slow going. I wish they all could write like F. F. Bruce. I learn much better when I don’t have to struggle with awkward prose.
That’s about all for today. I have laundry to finish … exciting, no?
