It is snowing … not much but enough to cover the brown spots and dirty snow. And the temperature is going back to more normal January temps. We have been spoiled by a run of very warm days.
I saw Fat Boy this morning. He was leading his gang to greener pastures after discovering that the food house is still empty. 
A disturbing act of vandalism occurred at a home in southern Shoreview yesterday. The miscreants gained access to the home through the roof. A tool of unknown origin was used to pry the roof from the home. The vandals proceeded to wreak havoc, literally destroying the home. Investigators report that it “probably beyond repair”.
This is a most disturbing trend and investigators are anxious to apprehend the culprits. Anyone with leads is asked to contact the investigators. No reward is offered at this time.
In another incident, perhaps unrelated, investigators commented that no one has seen Fat Boy and his associates in the last 24 hours.
A news organization recently did a study ranking the US states on an obesity scale. A search of Google News for “obesity” returns a list of over 100 stories written world wide since January 1 … even Pravda got in on the action.
So it was distressing to find that we have to confront this issue here at our house. If this boy doesn’t slow down his eating, he will have to get some kind of support for the gut he is building. I am including a photo, which surely speaks for itself …
In the event that you think I am being unduly harsh, I will point out two things:
My plans, just like the mouse and the men have gone aft agley this weekend. I had big plans for my ADO on Friday, but it snowed. I shoveled and shoveled, then David came home and shoveled some more. In the middle of that, someone stopped and asked if we wanted to sell my van. Do we??????? He saw it sitting, not being driven and thought it might be for sale. It was, but we hadn’t done anything to advertise it yet. B’bye Aerostar!
We had a special dinner on Sunday to celebrate David’s birthday. And today we worked around the house. Next window of opportunity for getting my list done is Wednesday, but don’t tell anyone. They might think I have a free day and fill it with their list. :-p
